Kazuhiro Matsushita

 Japanese Conductor

 

 Kazuhiro Matsushita went on to major in conducting at Tokyo College of Music, graduating at the top of his class in 2018.

He studied conducting under Junichi Hirokami, Toshifumi Tashiro, and Yasufumi Tokito, and piano under Jun Ueki and Kiyotaka Noda.

 

 In 2018, he completed an international conducting masterclass held in the Czech Republic, studying with Alexander Polyanichko.

In 2023, he competed in the Vienna School International Conducting Competition.

That same year, he was selected for the Tokyo Opera Days Conducting Masterclass, hosted by the Tokyo Nikikai Opera Foundation, where he studied under Leonardo Sini.

 

 Currently based in Tokyo, he conducts and coaches orchestras throughout Japan.

Since 2024, he has served as an instructor and conductor for Tsukuba Junior Orchestra, and in 2025, he appeared in a collaboration with Metropolitan Youth Orchestra of Hong Kong (香港青少年管弦樂團).

 

 He has also served as associate conductor for numerous opera productions, including Un ballo in maschera, Macbeth, The Magic Flute, Cendrillon, and Iolanta.

In 2024, he conducted guest performances of Carmen and The Marriage of Figaro (highlights), expanding his work in both opera and choral music.
